Kingston's The Rose Theatre are offering budding thespians the chance to receive "world-class" mentoring with seasoned pros during a residency at the theatre.

The offer comes in the form of a scheme called the Peter Hall Emerging Artists Fellowship that will see the successful candidate work on "at least three productions" at the theatre.

In addition, a statement released by the Rose said they would "support Artistic Director Christopher Haydon on all creative aspects of running the theatre as he opens his first season with the Rose".

"The fellowship will lead up to a professional staged production directed by the fellow in the Rose Studio.

"The production will run for a week, be paid for by the PHEAF and produced by the Rose," it continued.

The fellowship was launched in 2019, with young director Fay Lomas, who the Rose described as "exceptional".

PHEAF was created thanks to charitable funders and grant makers to the Rose, who are still seeking contributions to enhance and develop future opportunities amid the economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.
