An 18-year-old from Thornton Heath has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Brixton earlier this year.
Leon Rashid, of Dunheved Road, has been charged after a 17-year-old was knocked off his bike and stabbed multiple times on February 23.
Police were called to Henry Road, Brixton, at 6.15pm on February 23, where they found James Bascoe-Smith suffering from stab injuries.
James remains in hospital, now in a stable condition, where he is making a slow recovery following the attack.
Rashid was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).
He appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (April 13) where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on May 11.
