Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a motorcyclist was left with life-threatening injuries when he was blasted outside a south London corner shop.
The 37-year-old was found with gunshot wounds at around 8.50pm on Saturday night (March 13) in Croydon.
The victim was rushed to hospital and is still in a critical condition, Scotland Yard said today (Tues).
Pawel Smolinski, 30, Jakub Smolinski, 24, have been charged with attempted murder and appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court today.
The two defendants were remanded in custody and will next appear at Croydon Crown Court next month.
A 26-year-old woman, who was passing with her three-year-old child at the time, found the wounded man lying on the ground with his intestines exposed.
She said: "I was actually in the corner shop at the time when I heard the gunshot I was with my son.
"The whole thing was scary and horrific. What really shocked me as I’ve never witnessed, heard or been around anything like that."
The woman and the shop manager ran outside to find the man lying on the ground.
