Interactive football, laser quest, a synthetic ice rink and a giant assault course are just some of the activities on offer at a new adventure park opening in Croydon's Centrale Shopping Centre this summer.

The site will be run seven-days-a-week by adventure park specialists Flip Out and span some 30,000 square feet at the centre.

Flip Out said around 25 full-time and 50 part-time roles would also be created by the new store which will be the company's second such 'Super Centre' in the UK.

All in all the attractions include a bumper car track, a glow in the dark ice rink, themed mini golf, a huge inflatable system, Laser Quest, interactive football, a "massive" indoor interactive assault course, and an arcade area.

"This is a revolutionary new concept adventure park and I can't tell you how excited we are to be opening our doors to the people of Croydon," Flip Out Co-owner Richard Beese said.

"It's been a difficult year for everyone but now we want to give people an outlet to go have some fun and still be safe.

"If you've been stuck at home bouncing off the walls in frustration, then what better way to blow off some steam with the family!

"The park will be due to open in the Summer depending on Government guidelines. This park... is absolutely jam-packed with a multitude of fantastic activities and we can't wait for the people of Croydon to enjoy what's on offer!"

The centre will be spread over two floors and will offer fully hosted birthday parties, late-night 'after dark' discos, toddler soft play activities, and group sleepovers.

"A 3-hour session costs £20 and the park will offer discounted family pass tickets. Free parking will be provided for 90 minutes in the shopping centre for all Flip Out customers seven days a week when attending a session," a spokesperson for the company said.

"Flip Out caters for kids, teens and adults and has designated themed party rooms, as well as bars and restaurant facilities for mums and dads who might prefer to put their feet up and watch.

"In addition, the venue will run disability sessions where carers are allowed in for free..."
