Church goers from the London Full Gospel Church in Raynes Park donated £30,000 to the Kingston Hospital charity recently after praising their care and efforts given to the community.

Many members of the church's congregation have been cared for by NHS staff at the hospital and produced an accompanying video with personal messages of thanks alongside the donation.

The Hospital said the five-figure sum would go towards "supporting the health and wellbeing of hospital staff" that has been particularly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

In the heartfelt video produced by the congregation with the donation, members spoke of their own experiences at the hospital and how its staff had helped them in their time of need.

"Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who looked after me when I had breathing difficulties with Covid," one church goer said.

"You saved my life," she added.

Another member of the London church described his own experience of the life-saving care staff at Kingston Hospital provide during Covid-19.

"I was hospitalised on Boxing Day with only 76 per cent oxygen level," he said.

"However, with your undivided love and care I am enjoying a second life. Thank you and God Bless You!" the man added, in a short clip featuring his children.

Director of Kingston Hospital Charity, Rob Aldous said of the donation:

"We are most grateful to everyone at the London Full Gospel Church for their very generous support and for the touching film they produced which we are sharing with our staff.

"Their support and messages of gratitude are greatly valued by colleagues, after a very challenging few months."
