Lidl has announced it will be opening a new branch in Hackbridge this week.

The supermarket chain has confirmed it will open its doors for the first time on Thursday, February 11.

Offering a fantastic range of 40 new jobs, the store will feature facilities including a 1,631m² sales area, a bakery, parking and customer toilets.

The store, located on Spinning Wheel Way, will offer surplus food and customer donations to a number of charities through its 'Feed it Back' scheme.

The new store is situated at Barratt London’s New Mill Quarter development.

The supermarket chain has confirmed that security guards will be placed at the entrance to regulate customer numbers and to remind those to wear mandatory face coverings.

A number of social distancing measures have also been put in place including floor markers, hand sanitiser, and disinfectant wipes for customers to use on their trolleys and baskets.

- Monday to Saturday - 8am to 10pm

- Sunday - 10am to 4pm
