Twickenham MP discusses the future of apprenticeships in Richmond

Munira Wilson, Twickenham MP, will join the team at a London based apprenticeship training provider to discuss reigniting employment within the borough.

The event on Friday (Feb 12) falls during National Apprenticeship Week in which this year’s theme is “Build the Future.”

Hawk Training offers apprenticeships in the sectors of leadership and management, business admin, IT, childcare and warehousing.

The event; 'Building the Future: Post-pandemic Apprenticeships' will be hosted by Crawford Knott, Managing Director of Hawk Training.

Discussions will focus on the importance of apprenticeships in rebuilding the future following a year of employment standstill.

The panel will be also joined by Susan Green, representing the Greenacres Childcare chain, along with another learner and employer that Hawk Training have been working with over the past year.

The virtual forum, which will run between 11:30am – 12:30pm, will address how the nation can maximise the extra government funding available to employers and training providers, as well as discussing how local authorities can overcome challenges expected in the months ahead.
