A school and university in South West London are working together to create more opportunities for students in the arts.

The University of Roehampton and Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) announced their partnership yesterday (Feb 1).

They hope to encourage new routes into higher education in the performing arts, computing, digital media and communications.

Students at the College can benefit from the University's engagement programme for education and career development.

These include subject talks with University of Roehampton academics, workshops and personal statement support.

In the future, the partnership could be expanded to include shared use of facilities and staff training.
