The infection rates for the Covid-19 coronavirus are falling across South West London and North Surrey, but numbers of new cases remain high in many boroughs in the region.
That's according to the latest data from Public Health England (PHE), who again updated their rolling data for Covid infection rates across England as deaths attributed to the virus topped 100,000 across the UK.
On the colour-coded, interactive map used by PHE to chart the spread of coronavirus across the UK, many boroughs in South West London and North Surrey were still shaded purple on Wednesday (January 27), indicating high numbers of new cases.
Today we have exceeded 100,000 recorded #COVID19 deaths across the UK.
