A 29-year-old from Sutton will put his culinary skills to the test in a bid to find love during the pandemic.

Freddie Rossi-Parish will feature on cookery dating show 'Love Bites' which will be hosted by Gogglebox personality Scarlett Moffatt.

Freddie, Manager of Goals Soccer Centre, says ITV offered him the chance to appear on the show after being a hit with the audience on 'Winning Combinations' last year.

"The feedback I had on this show was excellent. Comedian Omid Djalili even said I was his favourite contestant," said Freddie.

The 29-year-old manager will compete against two other singles by cooking a three-course meal, using the same box of ingredients.

Freddie will prepare food in the Love Bites kitchen for the single foodie, who will then choose one of them for a date based on their gastronomic efforts.

Speaking to Sutton Guardian, Freddie said: "I went on the show to find someone new to date.

"It’s difficult to meet anyone during the pandemic, which is why I took the chance to go on the show.

"I think a lot of young people who are single are all feeling the same."

He added: "I’m quite competitive and wanted to win so I took the cooking quite serious.

"I appear in three episodes and cook plenty of different dishes: vegan, fish and desserts, which is completely different to what I usually do.

"The show is a bit of a mixture of Come dine with me and Blind date. It’s great fun.

"Hopefully I will find my future wife who will appreciate my cooking.

"I’m a massive Elvis fan so they would have to put up with that too."

Does Freddie have what it takes to cook up a storm and bag himself a date with a singleton?
