Police are appealing for information from the public as they hunt for a man who sexually exposed himself to a woman in Thorpe earlier this month.

The incident took place on Thursday, January 14, in a field off Ten Acre Lane in Thorpe near to the industrial estate, between 2pm and 2.30pm.

In a statement police said that the woman had been walking in the field when the man, who was walking with a small black dog at the time, "sexually exposed himself" to her.

"The man is described as white with a tanned complexion, of average height and between 30 and 40 years old.

"He was wearing a green and black rain jacket and black trousers, and was walking a small black dog," a spokesperson for Surrey Police, investigating, said.

The investigation into what happened is being led by PC Jake Trussler, who described the incident as "distressing":

"This was a distressing incident and we are keen to hear from anybody who can help us identify this man.

"Perhaps you know a dog walker who owns a green and black jacket and might have been out that Thursday afternoon, or perhaps you were in the area yourself and have had your memory jogged by our description of the man.

"Please cast your mind back and consider whether you have any crucial information that could help us identify this man," he said.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to visit the Surrey Police website or call them on 101 (999 in an emergency) and quote PR/ 45210004397.
