A "PARROT" has been spotted in the bushes at a Mcdonald's drive-through.

The mysterious bird was pictured nestled in a hedge and perched on a branch opposite the fast-food chain in Marin Square.

According to Millie Kenyon, who spotted the creature, the blue bird was "mingling with the sparrows and starlings".

Mrs Kenyon said at first she "couldn't believe" what she was seeing.

She said: "We were just going through the drive-through and there are lots of little birds there when suddenly husband said 'there's a parrot there.'"

"We then drove back around the other side and we looked in and it is still sitting there.

"I rang the RSCPA and told them was there was a parrot there. I guess it has either escaped or someone has dumped it there.

"It seemed to be alright there, it didn't seem to be in distress.

"We thought it was possibly a stuffed parrot - we couldn't believe what we were seeing."

It comes after an angry woman called the police because she missed out on getting a McDonald's breakfast because of a long queue.

Inspector Darren Taylor at Sussex Police said the force received a phone call y from an unhappy customer in East Grinstead, who had been waiting to get a McDonalds breakfast at the drive-through restaurant in London Road.

But unfortunately by the time she arrived at the drive-through window to place an order, the breakfast service was no longer available.

The lady was given "words of advice about ringing the police."
