PLANS to turn a former police station building blighted by anti-social behaviour into four homes have been revealed.
Shrub End Police Station, in John Kent Avenue, closed to the public in 2011.
Although officers continued to work from the site for several years, the building was sold on the open market in 2017.
Since laying empty the premises have been blighted by anti-social behaviour including in 2018 when arsonists started a fire in the building.
Now a planning application has been submitted to turn the premises into four new homes.
Two will be three-bed properties and two four-bed.
Colchester Council will have the final say on the plans.
