Visitors to the Oxhey Activity Park are now able to dine in again at its café which aims to be the hub of the community

Watford Borough Council has launched a campaign to encourage people to shop local this Christmas and the Watford Observer is supporting this by profiling independent shops and restaurants in what has been a turbulent year for so many businesses.

Tasty Bean Café opened on September 7 as part of the new Wiggenhall Road leisure facility and since then customers have been able to enjoy a range of hot and cold food to eat in or takeaway.

Watford Observer:

The café had to move to takeaway service only during the second lockdown, but people can now dine in again from 9am to 4pm each day.

Asked the business tries to go the extra mile to help customers, leaseholder Jerome Enskat said: “We want Tasty Bean Café to be the hub of the community, known for serving the tastiest, locally sourced, hand crafted food and drink; a community business that supports other local businesses and charities, to grow as we grow; a business with a conscience that takes its environmental footprint seriously.

Watford Observer:

“[We want it to be] a place for our customers to relax, celebrate, meet new friends and share experiences over food and drink in a warm, welcoming environment that we delivery every minute of every day that we are open.”
