Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust has recorded the highest number of deaths at 272, while Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 132.

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has recorded 109 fatalities and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has reported 19 deaths.

Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.

This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the latest period may actually have taken place days earlier.

At the time of writing, updates on case data were not available due to “technical difficulties”, the Department for Health and Social Care said.
