TWO PEOPLE have been rescued from a burning home.
The pair were saved by firefighters tackling a blaze in Barcley Avenue, Hailsham, yesterday evening.
Crews from Hurstmonceux and Eastbourne were called to the home at 6.12pm and used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A spokeswoman for the service said: "All persons were accounted for.

"Two residents were rescued from the property and handed over into the care of the South East Coast Ambulance Service."
At 8.56pm the spokeswoman confirmed the fire had been extinguished and the crews had left the scene.
The incident has been handed over to Sussex Police and a fire investigation is due to take place today.
