A woman was rushed to a major trauma unit after she was rescued from her overturned car by all three emergency services in Sidcup.

The driver had to be cut from the overturned vehicle on Chislehurst Road after it had veered off the road and flipped onto its roof.

She was taken to a south London hospital where we await an update on her condition.

Met Police said they were called to Chislehurst Road in Sidcup shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, October 27, along with the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service.

One car had left the roadway and rolled over onto its roof.

LFB said they attended with two fire engines and around 10 firefighters, and worked to release the woman from car.

LAS said they also dispatched an ambulance crew, who then took the female driver to hospital.

Police added that Chislehurst Road was closed for some time before reopening to traffic.

In a similar incident at the same time on Tuesday, another woman was taken to hospital after her car flipped and crashed into other vehicles in Orpington.
