Adverse weather conditions played a part in a road traffic collision in Charlton which left one car on its roof after its driver lost control.

The picture of a damaged-looking red car flipped over emerged after Charlton Vehicle Enforcement Team dealt with the scene in Greenwich on Wednesday, October 21.

The driver of the pictured car reportedly lost control on the road, colliding with other vehicles before flipping.

Officers who called to the road traffic collision said "thankfully the driver escaped with no injuries."

The Met Police Service's Specials Team added: " Please take care on the road, especially in adverse weather conditions."
