The Pauline Quirke Academy in Amersham has reopened its doors for the first time in six months.

The performing arts school has been shut since March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but on September 12, they finally reopened to the public.

Principal of PQA Amersham, Liz Charleston, said: “It was fantastic to be able to welcome our students back to the academy.

“I am glad we could keep in touch using online classes, but nothing beats seeing them walk up the drive to the school.”

Throughout lockdown, PQA have provided several virtual performing arts activities which include workshops that focus on the West End, filmmaking, directing, comedy and film.

But now students are allowed to return to the stage whilst adhering to the current Covid-19 guidelines.

PQA are also enrolling students, with their lessons taking place every Saturday between 9.45am and 1pm and 1.45pm and 5pm.

The lessons take place at Amersham School, and there are 132 Pauline Quirke Academies across the UK.

The business was launched in 2007.
