Police found a quantity of cannabis after stopping a car on a motorway.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it was alerted to a vehicle of interest travelling on the M1 at 11.35pm on Monday, September 14.
The vehicle was stopped by officers near junction 5 (Watford) and a search was carried out, the force said.
Police say that a quantity of cannabis was found.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug and driving under the influence of drugs.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
