An artist from Aylesbury has paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman by producing an incredible portrait of the late actor.

Adam Culley, 26, took to social media to show off his appreciation for the 43-year-old, who died on August 28 following a four-year battle with colon cancer.

In a Facebook post that was published on Monday, August 31, Adam said: “Chadwick helped lots of little girls and boys finally see that they could be superheroes too.

“You helped redefine a genre.

“You did so much to help struggling people while you, yourself, were silently struggling.

“Thank you for all that you left.

This is one of many tributes that have been left for the actor across the globe, with Mr Boseman never publicly revealing his cancer diagnoses.

Speaking exclusively to the Bucks Free Press, Mr Culley said: “I'm a bit of a movie buff and I LOVE Marvel films.

“So when Black Panther came out, it wasn't just a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it was also redefining a genre with it being the first superhero movie with a black hero, director and majority of the cast too.

“I could see that it meant more to people than just another superhero film.”

Adam also revealed that it took around four hours to draw the portrait of the actor, and that he ‘didn't really have the finished image in mind’.

Despite this, his drawing has been met with praise from his friends and family.

He continued: “Chadwick was amazing on screen, but what he did for the fans and kids suffering from illnesses along the way was amazing too, especially considering he was silently struggling with cancer himself.

“All in all, I think it is awesome that so many kids can now finally see that they could be a superhero too.”

Chadwick Boseman’s career spanned 17 years where he starred in many sports and music films.

But it was his role as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, which made him a household name in 2016 – the year of his cancer diagnoses.

Two years later, he starred as Black Panther again, but this time as the title character.
