A nursery in Twickenham Green which was closed last year have announced the opening of a new baby unit called Chestnuts Corner.
In April 2019 Twickenham residents were saddened that the Salvation Army decided to close a much-loved community cafe and pre-school, in Colne Road, TW2.
The Salvation Army decided not to renew the lease of both the Community Corner Cafe and Chestnuts Pre-School, which was a staple in the Twickenham Green area for almost five years.
It was described as the 'perfect place' to go for a coffee and play in the mornings and is a 'lifeline' for people who need support.
But now Chestnut Corner has announced its opening its doors again at 124 Colne Road from 7:30am to 6:30pm for babies from birth to two and a half years.
127 Colne Road, opposite, will become the pre-school, taking children from the age of two who are ready to move to a more structured, play-based, environment.
Children can stay in pre-school until they start school at 5 years of age. Pre-school is open from 8:00 to 18:00.
Managing Director, Allison Archibald, said:
“We are looking for some additional staff and have spaces to welcome new families!”
