Readers have told us which roads in and around Richmond should have a speed camera.

There have been numerous occasions this year where drivers have decided to ignore speed limits.

According to an Freedom of Information request, officers in south London enforced 519 speeding offences to those flouting the rules in April.

In some cases, motorists in the county had been caught travelling at speeds up to three times higher than the legal limit.

So recently we asked people on Facebook which roads they would like to see a speed camera introduced in.

Below are roads that were mentioned by residents:

1. Uxbridge Road, Hanworth, near LEH girls

Michelle Linsley said: "The speeding is horrendous! Terrifying!"

2. Aragono Road in Twickenham by St Mary’s CE school

 

Andisheh Thomson said: "By the entrance of Waitrose parking I’ve often had to flag cars down that were driving way too fast considering it’s a school Zone."

3. Talbot Road, St Margarets 

Michelle Eade said: "The road is used as a cut through and cars have been speeding on many occasions a day.

"There is constant use of the double lines in the junction of st Margarets Road and Talbot Road."

4. Percy Road, Whitton

Suzanne Beal said: "There’s been a few crashes there over time!!!"

5. Waldegrave Park, Twickenhan

Maria Perez Iglesias said: "Some cars speed, and some of them speed A LOT. There is a primary school here, too."
