PICTURES show police, firefighters and the ambulance service in Carshalton on Sunday.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to reports of sheds alight at around 4.16 pm on Wrythe Lane.
An eyewitness said he saw people being evacuated from their houses due to "sheds exploding."
The London Fire Brigade confirmed two timber sheds and around 20 metres of garden fencing were destroyed.
It was reported that most of a block and timber outbuilding was also damaged by the blaze.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: "The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 20 calls to the fire.
"Fire crews from Sutton, Tooting, Mitcham and Wallington fire stations attended the scene.
"There were no reports of any injuries.
"The fire was under control by 5.07 pm.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation."
Police have been contacted for comment.
