Detectives are appealing for information after shots were fired in Streatham.
Police were called to Gaywood Close, SW2, at 1:31am on Wednesday (August 5).
There were no reported injuries, but the outside of a residential property was damaged.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating. So far no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Remy Smith, said:
"Fortunately nobody was hurt in this incident, but the outcome could have been much worse.
"We're examining the cartridges found at the scene and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
