Police are seeking a man known to frequent New Cross and Plumstead after a woman was sexually assaulted as she slept on a bus.
David O’Brien, 51, is known to regularly travel London by bus and speaks with an Irish accent. His last known address was in Westminster.
The offence took place on Sunday, May 31, aboard a 243 bus at Stoke Newington Road, Hackney.
A woman in her 20s, who had fallen asleep, awoke to find a man sexually assaulting her.
Her shocked and distressed reaction prompted the suspect to flee the bus when it stopped at the junction with Princess May Road.
