Residents at a Sutton care home have joined together to launch a national campaign with TikTok videos.
'Celebrate Care Homes' aims to praise staff members in care homes for their effort during the pandemic.
More than 30 Sunrise UK and Gracewell care homes, including Gracewell of Sutton, have created their own TikTok videos, featuring residents and team members.
In a statement posted online, Gracewell care homes said: "The social care sector and especially care homes, have been faced with an unprecedented challenge as a result of the epidemic.
"Care homes across the nation have shown immense bravery, professionalism, and humanity over the last few months.
"To raise awareness of this heroism, we have launched this campaign, which we hope will reaffirm the importance and value of care homes as we begin to emerge from this crisis."
Barbara Dalby, 93, of Gracewell Sutton added: “Living in a care home for me means I no longer have to look after myself.
"With poor walking and arthritic hands, it was not easy.
"I now feel safe."
