A woman died following a car crash in Sutton yesterday evening.
Police were called to Tonfield Road at around 6pm after an incident involving two vehicles.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to determine whether she was a pedestrian or passenger.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Our officers were on scene with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance after a call at 5.57pm to Tonfield Road, Sutton, following a collision involving two vehicles.
"One woman, no further details available at this time, was pronounced dead at scene.
"Police are working to identify the victim and inform her next of kin.
"We are working to determine whether the deceased was a passenger in one of the cars or a pedestrian."
