After months of home workouts, exercising in the park and waiting on online orders of gym equipment to arrive - the government has announced gyms will be able to safely return from next week.

On March 20, Boris Johnson announced that gyms would be closed until further notice which saw gym-goers turn to other avenues to get their fitness fix.

Personal trainers were seen adapting to the pandemic- by training clients in the park and hosting virtual workouts online.

But from July 25, many indoor gyms will see a phased return of their facilities.

Gyms are asking clients to try and arrive already in their fitness gear to maintain a clean environment.

Better Org are asking clients to book a one hour timeslot via the Better UK app.

Gym-goers must arrive on time and If early, will need to queue outside and if late, will be denied access.

No more than 10 swimmers in each lane of a 25-metre pool.

Nuffield will be checking everyone's temperature on arrival.

Sanitising gym equipment throughout the day.

Ventilation systems will operate
