TWO more people have died with coronavirus in Sussex hospitals, according to latest figures.
Across hospital trusts in the county, 626 deaths have now been reported.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust recorded two further deaths today, bringing its total to 259.
No more fatalities were confirmed by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, where the total stands at 146. Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 113 deaths in total.
At East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the total remains 90, while Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 18 Covid-19 deaths.
Nationally, 48 deaths were recorded where coronavirus was listed on death certificates, bringing the UK death toll to 44,650.
The national total for positive cases is now 288,133. An additional 512 cases were reported today.
The number of cases in East Sussex climbed by three to 1,508. In West Sussex it increased by one to 2,702. The number in Brighton and Hove remained the same at 770.
