A three-year-old with a spinal condition has raised more than £20,000 in just 64 days.

Daisy Briggs, from Sutton, has been wearing a different colour of the rainbow each day during her daily walking frame fundraiser

Daisy's mother, Rea Briggs, 34, was told the chances of Daisy walking were near to impossible, due to her spinal condition, Spina Bifida.

Three years later, Daisy has defied all odds and has coincidentally learnt to walk 25 metres unaided during her fundraiser.

Daisy has been recognised nationally for her spectacular efforts and has received donations from; America, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and Germany.

Speaking to Sutton Guardian, Daisy's mother, Rea Briggs said: "Daisy has absolutely loved the rainbow walks.

We have been completely overwhelmed and blown away with people’s generosity, support and kindness.

"We set out with the original target of £100 before Captain Tom’s 100th birthday but the support she received was so amazing she just kept going.

"She gets recognised when out on our walks now too and people give her a round of applause which she absolutely loves.

"We couldn’t have ever dreamt she’d raise over £20,000!

"Raising money for our incredible NHS means the absolute world to us.

They have saved Daisy’s life on multiple occasions so we owe them everything.

"I hope when Daisy grows up and sees what she achieved, it will give her the confidence to know that she can achieve anything she sets her heart to in life.

"Her disability can’t hold her back."
