Spice Village has recently opened in Croydon and customers can now order contactless delivery service.

Spice Village has become a destination restaurant in Tooting, having extended over the years to become a multi-award-winning restaurant chain with a variety of loyal customers, from Hollywood and Bollywood stars to the Mayor of London.

Spice Village has won many awards to its name, including the British Curry Award, and has been recently awarded the best restaurant award by the Mayor Of London, Sadiq Khan at the Asian Curry Awards in November 2019, it has also been ranked among the Top 20 best restaurants in London by the Evening Standard.

Due to the Lockdown, and huge demand from its loyal customers, Spice Village in Croydon has started the takeaway service and offering contactless delivery.

Spice Village has also initiated a Non-profit campaign in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, One Million Meals www.onemillionmeals.uk, and have collaborated with the London School of Economics (LSE) along with number of other restaurants and food establishments from London and all over the UK to feed free of cost meals to The superheroes of the NHS, vulnerable people, frontline staff and key workers who are risking their lives to protect precious lives.

Seeing the live demand coming in every day from so many hospitals proves that the nutritious meals are equally important for these NHS staff and keyworkers, as no battle can be won with empty stomachs, especially after working long shifts, as the majority of the canteens within the hospitals close at 5pm or are shut due to staff being furloughed.

To date, Spice Village have managed to support 203 locations (NHS trusts, hospitals, agencies) across the UK

So far, they have managed to serve more than 47 NHS hospitals by delivering more than 60,000 meals and nutritious drinks meals to doctors, nurses, paramedics and other key workers on the frontline risking their lives and aim to provide 100,000 by the 2nd week of June.

Spice Village Croydon has also signed the Armed Forces Covenant in November 2019 with Rear Admiral Mike Bath from the Royal Navy with the pledge to provide a 10% discount to heroes and veterans.

Spice Village also launched the #NoOneEatsAlone campaign across all of its branches which aimed to feed the homeless free of cost on the last Christmas Day . It gained a massive response and hundreds of homeless were served Christmas Dinner along with gifts at Spice Village restaurants at Tooting, Southall and Southend and Croydon.

Spice Village restaurants were swamped by calls, emails and visits from the local community. The campaign met unprecedented level of support with hundreds of messages on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms. Local media spread the word, residents donated gifts, blankets, jackets and left cards and even volunteered time. Spice Village, as a gesture of goodwill, serves hot meals to homeless people along with Croydon Night watch charity at queens gardens in Croydon every Thursday night and plans to continue #NoOneEatsAlone as its regular annual event in the future and look forward to serving the local communities around its restaurants.

Spice Village Croydon has been awarded the 5-Star Hygiene Ranking by the Croydon Council, for its health and hygiene practises.

All the employees including Chefs, Cleaning staff, Porters and Management have been provided sufficient training about prevention of Corona Virus through onsite training and all the staff has been asked to wash their hands throughout the day and remain Hygienic .
