ARGUS readers have voted against sending children back to school on Monday.
In a Facebook poll conducted by the paper, almost three quarters of respondents said June 1 was too early to open schools.
Just 26 per cent thought it was right to begin opening them next week.
At noon yesterday, 856 people had answered the poll.
The Prime Minister will take a final decision as part of a lockdown review on Thursday.
Children in nursery, reception and Years 1 and 6 will be the first return to the classroom if the Government’s plans go ahead.
