Sutton Night Watch has received a generous donation to help meet increased demands during the outbreak.

Surrey-based food business, The Food Box UK, has been supporting Sutton Night Watch with food packages during lockdown.

Since the outbreak, Sutton Night Watch has supported around thirty people every day, with hot meals, care packages, and essential items.

Each box is designed to provide a variety of nutritious meals, tasty snacks and home essentials.

Managing Director of The Food Box UK, Andrew Honeywood, said: “I came across Sutton Night Watch online and I knew we could provide some much-needed support in the way of donated nutritious food boxes.

Your Local Guardian:

"These items are invaluable as the products are all long life, do not require refrigeration and can be eaten hot or cold.

"This makes them ideal for vulnerable sections of the community."

Director of Sutton Night Watch, Lisa Brown said: “Support like this is so important to us and we cannot express our gratitude to Andrew and his team enough.

"Sutton Night Watch have been very fortunate during the coronavirus lockdown, with some amazing small businesses and volunteers supporting us.

"We just want to publicly thank everyone who has contributed to our cause during this time."

Sutton Night Watch is now taking delivery of 100 food boxes and 150 food pouches thanks to The Food Box UK this week.
