Tesco have been donating to foodbanks, charities and community groups in both Sutton and Croydon to help meet increased demands due to the outbreak.

The supermarket chain is donating the additional food to support its partner charities, the Trussell Trust and FareShare, to provide emergency food supplies caused by the pandemic.

So far, Tesco has delivered 122 trucks full of food donations to the two charities.

Development Manager for FareShare in London, Rachel Ledwith, said: "The additional donations from Tesco are making a huge difference to charities and community groups which receive supplies from them.

“We are immensely thankful to Tesco for their continued support during the pandemic."
