A pharmacy has launched an appeal to help locate a thief who stole their medication delivery bike yesterday.
Police were called to reports of a stolen bike at MPS Pharmacy in Rose Hill, at 10.58 am, on May 18.
Pharmacy staff say the man targeted their bike whilst they were occupied, which is when he walked inside and took the bike.
Two members of staff gave chase, however, the suspect got away.
The bike which is used for emergency deliveries to Sutton's most vulnerable residents has been vital to the pharmacy over the past few years.
Speaking to Sutton Guardian, MPS Pharmacy said: “It is completely immoral behaviour to take from a health provider, they should be ashamed of themselves.
"The bike is used to deliver medication to our patients and also emergency deliveries for vulnerable patients.
"The fact that someone is comfortable to steal from a healthcare provider during a time like this says a lot about him.
"We are doing our up-most best to provide the best service we can.
"If you see this man or the bike, please share and contact the police straight away."
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "We can confirm that a cycle was reported stolen at 10:58hrs, on Monday, May 18, at The Market, Rosehill, Sutton.
"It is being investigated."
If you have any information regarding the incident please contact the police using CAD 2384/1805.
