A motorcyclist died at the scene in Richmond after a crash involving a car.

Police were called at around 6.30am this morning to Kew Road, following reports of a collision.

The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of ambulance services.

His next of kin has been informed.

The male driver of the car, who was not seriously injured, stopped at the scene.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

They would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam footage.

Officers would also like to speak with the driver of a white or cream Peugeot which was behind the vehicles involved.

It is likely that the driver will have witnessed the collision.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
