A manager has been praised for helping an elderly man pay for his shopping after he forgot his PIN last week.

Jett Lomas, Customer Trading Manager at Sainsbury's Wallington, was pictured paying for a customers shopping after his card declined last Friday, May 8.

Since his act of kindness, Jett has become popular on social media, with his act attracting more than 2000 shares on Facebook.

Rebecca Rayapen, who pictured Jett, said: "I was queuing to pay for some shopping when the gentlemen on the motor ability scooter was trying to pay for his shopping.

"His bank card wasn’t connecting and after a few failed attempts his card was declined.

"Jett was on board and winked at the cashier, pulled his wallet out and tapped his bank card.

"I witnessed this act of kindness and felt very touched in this current climate.

"I hope this will spread some faith back into humanity."
