The main carriageway was first closed at 6.15am
The M25 clockwise carriageway has been closed at Reigate this morning after a serious accident.
The collision between a car and a lorry first closed the main carriageway from 6.15am this morning (May 8) and as of 10.15am remained closed.
Emergency services including paramedics, Surrey Fire and Rescue, and Surrey Police have all been at the scene.
The road has been closed at J8 A217 Brighton Road and there have been some delays on the exit slip road for the diversion.
No information has yet been issued on the condition of the drivers involved in the collision.
Highways England has reported the road is not expected to fully reopen before 2.30pm.
