Sutton Night Watch received hundreds of pounds in donations with the help of Carshalton and Wallington MP.

Elliot Colburn surprised Sutton Night Watch with an email explaining that he had been fundraising for the charity during and before lockdown.

In response, volunteers at Sutton Night Watch invited Elliot Colburn down to their premises, with PPE and social distancing in place.

Sutton Night Watch was 'delighted' to receive a £400 cheque on behalf of Elliot and residents within the community, which will go towards their services during the outbreak.

A spokesperson for Sutton Night Watch said: "Sutton Night Watch had seen that Elliot Colburn had been lending his support to a multitude of extremely worthy local causes.

"So, to hear that he had been raising some much-needed funds for us also was fantastic.

"Mr Colburn was very happy to see the number of great things achieved from local business donations and support from the community.

"He was also pleased to see we had chosen the new premises within his area of the borough of Sutton, commenting on the great location, fluid transport links and the supportive surrounding services such as the jobcentre and GP.

"We would like to publicly thank everyone who contributed to this amazing donation."

Sutton Night Watch is run by volunteers, funded entirely by donations.
