A charity has united with Sutton residents to deliver scrumptious treats to St Helier to keep staff going during the outbreak.

Art Charity, Team Imagineers, teamed up with members from Wallington mosque, MCWAS and residents from Wallington, to deliver 'homemade cakes and finger foods' to the staff at St Helier Hospital.

The team hope the cakes will lift hospital workers spirits during the pandemic.

Speaking to Sutton Guardian, A spokesperson for Team Imagineers said:"We are humbled and grateful for the generous donations we have received.

Your Local Guardian:

"We asked members of the local mosque, friends and neighbours if they wanted to participate.

"Everyone who has donated tells us they feel grateful to be able to do something.

"We feel honoured by the response we have had, it brings the community together and lifts spirits.

"We have had a great response and plan to expand to two deliveries a week, but no more as the staff don't want to end up wasting the offerings.

"We are glad that we have taken the first step in donations."

The charity hopes to continue to make weekly deliveries until the end of lockdown.
