Detectives investigating the murder of Tyler Roye are searching for a Gucci bag that was stolen from Tyler on the night of his death.

A murder investigation was launched after police were called to Stroud Green Way, near the Arena tram stop in Croydon, at 12.15 am on February 26.

Tyler Roye, 24, from Croydon, was found suffering from stab wounds and was taken to hospital, but sadly died from his injuries at 2.46 am.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Detectives are appealing for help from the public to trace a missing bag that was stolen from Tyler on the night of his death.

"The bag is distinctive in style, of the Gucci brand, in a ‘Bengal tiger’ print.

"Officers are very keen to hear from anyone who has recently acquired a bag like this or have been offered one for sale."

Sam Odupitan, 23, of Longheath Gardens, Croydon, has been charged with Mr Roye's murder and two counts of robbery.
