An award-winning kebab restaurant in Kingston have donated hundreds of meals to NHS workers as the coronavirus lockdown continues.
On Wednesday (April 15), the Cappadocia Turkish restaurant on Fife Road donated 1,000 specially cooked meals and delivered them to frontline NHS workers at Kingston Hospital currently battling Covid-19 coronavirus in the borough.
Cappadocia was the winner of the 2020 British Kebab Awards for best Kebab in South and West London.

Jimmy Gizlie from Cappadocia Restaurant described his pride at providing for the NHS during the crisis.
"We are proud to be providing our local NHS heroes with the a healthy, tasty kebab from our menu, free of charge," he said.
"Our local Kingston hospital staff are playing a vital role in protecting the country and we’re thrilled to show our appreciation!"

Ibrahim Dogus, chairman of the Kebab Alliance and founder of the British Kebab Awards, praised Jimmy and the rest of the Cappadocia team for their efforts:
“It is fantastic to see our communities working together at this difficult time. From healthcare to catering, the UK’s strength is so often in diversity.
"Thank you Cappadocia, and all of those restaurants helping around the country, for lending your support to our NHS."
Best wishes also flowed in from food delivery service Just Eats, while borough stalwarts Kingston Race Equalities Council (KREC) tweeted their praise for the Turkish restaurant:
