A group of neighbours have decided to host a weekly coffee morning in a bid to keep spirits high during the coronavirus outbreak.

Raymond Bradley, recorded residents enjoying their morning coffee on their road, Kew Cresent, Sutton.

The coffee morning, which takes place between 11 to 12 each Sunday, gives residents something to look forward to for the rest of the week.

The residents all stay on their properties whilst they exchange tales of isolation and drink tea or coffee.

Raymond Bradley spoke to Sutton Guardian on their reasoning for starting a weekly coffee morning: "We are all good friends so it was a chance to catch up.

"We all made our coffee and tea and just enjoyed a social chat.

"It was good to see and speak to each other, as I haven't seen some of the neighbours in a few weeks.

"I am a high-risk person so I haven't left my house for three weeks.

"It was a great mood enhancement and we are talking about doing it again next Sunday."
