Bexley Council has made an emergency appeal for workers to join its response to the coronavirus pandemic and support the borough's care sector.
Bexley is in urgent need of a number of roles, from care assistants to registered nurses, to help care for the most vulnerable residents in the community.
Anyone with relevant job experience, or even with transferable skills, and is available immediately, is being asked to help provide care to people in their homes and in residential care settings.
Bexley Council said they are urgently looking to recruit, and have partnered with recruitment agency Reed to build on its response to the current Covid-19 crisis.
The following jobs are in demand:
- Home Care Assistant – Community Carer
- Care Assistant (Residential)
- Care Home Administrator
- Chef/Cook
- Kitchen Assistant
- Deputy Care Home Manager
- Domestic Assistant
- Housekeeper
- Laundry Assistant
- Maintenance Person
- Senior Care Assistant (Residential)
- Senior Care Assistant (Nursing Unit)
- Unit Manager (Residential Care)
- Registered Nurse
The council say that anyone who joins will be offered training and support where appropriate.
