Police investigating the fatal stabbing of Damani Mauge on a 130 bus in Croydon have charged a 16-year-old boy with murder.
The teenager suspect, from Mitcham, was arrested on Sunday, March 15, and is due to appear in court later today, Tuesday March 17.
The 16-year-old has also been charged with two other offences, attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Damani, aged 17, was found with fatal stab wounds on a 130 bus on Whitehorse Lane in Croydon after police were called to reports of a stabbing on March 8.
He was pronounced dead at the scene almost 40 minutes later.
A post-mortem examination found that the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest, police said.
His next of kin are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.
