Two suspected burglars have been charged following a series of daytime break-ins in Swanscombe and Sheerness.
Joshua James-Smith, 24, of High Street, Chatham and Jacob Winnet, 26, of Hyacinth Road, Strood were arrested following a number of reports this month.
Police were called to an alleged break-in at a house on Bailey Drive, Swanscombe, on Tuesday 28.
A sum of cash and a coat were reportedly stole and a number of items disturbed between 11.25am and 11.38am.
Another burglary at an address in Halfway Road, Sheerness, was reported to police on Friday 21 February.
Sums of cash, jewellery and a watch were allegedly stolen during the incident which occurred between 12pm and 1pm.
James-Smith was charged with two counts of burglary in relation to both incidents.
Winnet was charged in relation to the second incident and also for receiving stolen goods.
They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday and were remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 23.
