EMERGENCY services rushed to a Southampton river to help an unresponsive woman on a boat.
Fire crews, police, ambulance teams and the coastguard arrived at Quayside Road last night just before 7pm after a woman was seen on a boat not responding.
Police requested the attendance of four fire crews from St Mary's, Redbridge, Fareham and Cosham, and all of the services worked together to rescue two people on board the boat.
The two people were then handed over to the South Central Ambulance Service for assessment.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: "We were called by the ambulance service at 6.55pm to a report of a concern for welfare of a woman on a boat in Quayside Marina, Southampton.
"Officers attended along with colleagues from the ambulance service, fire and coastguard and the woman was located."
