A BUS collided into another bus and landed on top of two parked cars.
Four people were injured after a rail replacement bus crashed into the back of another rail replacement bus in Lingfield train station car park near East Grinstead last night.
Police attended and paramedics treated three people for minor injuries at the scene. Another person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Lingfield station at 6.47pm last night following reports of a collision between two buses in the car park.
"Paramedics also attended and three people were treated at the scene for minor injuries. One person was taken to hospital as a precaution, but thankfully their injuries are not believed to be serious.
"Both drivers blew negative on a breathalyser test. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Chris Fowler, customer services director at Southern Rail said: “We are investigating the cause of this serious incident and will provide any support we can to the British Transport Police in their investigation.
“Trains could not run as far as Lingfield for the rest of the evening so we provided buses and taxis from Three Bridges for passengers to complete their journeys.
"We encourage any passengers whose journey was delayed by 15 minutes or more to claim Delay Repay compensation via our website at www.southernrailway.com.”
