Police imposed road closures in Chessington today (February 14) after a gunshot was reported in the town.
The Met Police said they attended after receiving reports of "the discharge of a firearm" on Jubilee Way in Chessington.
They added that there had been no apparent injuries and they had so far not made any arrests.
Posting from the Kingston MPS Twitter account, a spokesperson for the Met Police said:
"We're in Jubilee Way #Chessington #Kingston following reports of a firearms discharge around 16:41hrs.
"No reported injuries. No arrests at this early stage and enquiries continue.
"Road closures in place motorists should use alternative routes."
